Marcellus wants to know the 411 about why everyone in Denmark is buzzin around ready to go to war. Horatio talks about some old enemies and about how supernatural events are harbingers of bad events. Marcellus, Horatio, and Bernardo think that the ghost is just a harbinger of the upcoming war with Norway. How wrong they are. Ghost enters.

2. inverted syntax

"A mote it [the ghost] is to trouble the mind's eye" (Shakespeare 12). (object/verb/subject)

Modern English would follow the pattern of "It is a mote...." (subject/verb/object)
